We have updated our Return to Play Guidelines to comply with the changing regulations. For the most part, practices will remain complying with local county, school, facility, etc. guidance. Here are some main points to pay attention to:
- Please keep contact tracing and following the steps of asking the COVID questions and temperature checking. This has REALLY helped us! We will also ask you to submit rosters each week (similar to the previous season) for our own contact tracing purposes. Again, this has allowed us to keep several teams and kids playing because we have been vigilant.
- The most significant change will be to our mask mandate. We will be requiring only coaches to wear masks based on the USA Rugby guidance. I realize that several counties have removed mask mandates for outdoor activities and I also realize that this is may be an inconvenience for coaches. We are navigating several different levels of regulation and compliance and we are doing our best to keep things as safe and reasonable as we can. The greater implications are that one complaint from a parent, facility, county, or even someone walking by a field and complaining that we aren’t following regulations could shut down rugby for the state.
